How long does it really take to create a VideoTribute?
There are three steps to creating a VideoTribute:
Selecting and Scanning photos: 15- 60 minutes
You’ll need to get the photos into your computer.In most cases, the family won’t have them in a digital format and you’ll have to scan them. To expedite this process, some of the newer scanners simultaneously scan multiple photos.
Creating the Tribute: 10 Minutes
Launch the program, select and arrange the photos, choose the music... publish.
“Polishing”: 5 to 30 minutes:
While the “first draft” will be professional, you’ll want to review it with the family.They might suggest a different order for the pictures, a change in background or music. These modifications are easy and further personalize your VideoTribute.
How do I publish to the Internet?
Simply select the File button on the toolbar, click-on Upload, choose your file... and go.Your VideoTributes software is configured to load your VideoTributes to an account we’ve set-up for you.It will take roughly 1 to 5 minutes to upload your VideoTributes (depending on file size and Internet connection speed).
Do I have to publish to the Internet?
No, this is an option.However, you’ll find that your families and guests will appreciate the ability to play the VideoTribute over and over again at any time and from any location. VideoTributes come with an easy-to-create WebTribute website that hosts the VideoTribute on the Internet and memorializes the decedent.
How do I create a Video CD or DVD of my VideoTribute?
VideoTribute creates videos in a standard format (Flash Movie) or Video.If you have a DVD burner, use our DVD software to convert that video file into a playable DVD.
How long can the show be?
Currently your show is limited to 22 minutes and 300 photos. However, we recommend that your VideoTribute be 3-10 minutes in length (e.g. the time period of a single song or medley) and include 12-50 photos. We recommend playing the VideoTribute during visitation. Just set the DVD player to "loop" and create an ever-present “video collage”celebrating the decedent’s life.
How big is a VideoTribute file?
VideoTribute created in web-format are about 500KB for every 2 Minutes… ideal for Web or PC play.
VideoTributes created for the DVD are approximately 100MB for every minute of show time... extremely large! After creating your DVD, you are able to erase the DVD video file.
What type of training is required?
You do need to watch the online tutorials and at least skim the manual.We provide 30 minutes of free tech support to get you started. Also, our Remote Assistance technology allows us to see your PC screen and guide you through any problems.
